1/12: Debate: Boycott Israel?

The Consell de la Joventut de Barcelona is a platform that coordinates 90 different youth associations from the city, working on social, trade union, cultural and trade, education, student and university frame, as well as territorial platforms and entities providing youth service.
From CJB years ago to work issues related to the situation in Palestine. Now we want to table these questions to analyze the chiaroscuro of the boycott as a strategy to pressure Israel to change its policies. Therefore, CJB proposes a debate open to all, in which four experts on the issue will present their views on the strengths and weaknesses of the boycott strategy and provide grounds for reflection. The speakers will be:

• Matilde Gomis-Perez, professional on development cooperation and expert on Palestine.

• Jordi Cortes, a political scientist, sociologist and cooperation technician .

• Rafael Grasa, president of the Institut Català Internacional per la Pau.

• Aritz Navarre, a member of the Xarxa d'Enllaç amb Palestina.
