The Academy for Peace in Lebanon launches its first Summer School in Beirut

During this August, the Academy of Building Peace in Lebanon (ACP-L), the Institute for Peace and Justice Education (IPJE) from the Lebanese American University and Nova co-organizes a training program in prevention and conflict transformation Middle East for young leaders.

For this purpose 30 participants have been selected from the region with a strong representation of young Palestinian refugees in Lebanon to be trained for 10 days in skills, attitudes and specific skills for conflict resolution. Ultimately, the activity will promote the involvement of these young people in projects, networks and organizations working to build peace in the region. Emphasize that during the last editions of the program organized by IPJE, between 25-30% of the participants have continued to work in the field of peacebuilding. This activity is part of the international project for the creation of the Academy of Building Peace in Lebanon that NOVA implemented in the country in cooperation with Permanent Peace Movement and the political and financial support of the Catalan Agency of Cooperation for Development. The ACP-L aims to be a regional reference in research, training and advocacy on peace processes.
