Eleven Arab countries meet at the III Beirut Nonviolence Session

On 3, 4 and 5 December will take place the III Beirut Nonviolence Session organized by Nova, Nonviolence Network of Arab Countries (NNAC) Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) and the Lebanese Association for Civil Rights (LACR).
For the first time, thirty organizations from eleven countries in the Arab world, belonging to non-violent movements, will meet in Beirut (Lebanon) in order to improve dialogue between grassroots movements that are committed to nonviolence as a means of conflict resolution. The Session will be behind closed doors and the participants will discuss how nonviolent organizations born in civil society can promote a culture of peace and human security.
Representatives of non-violent popular resistance committees in Arab countries (Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Kuwait) will participate in this session with the aim of improving the dialogue between nonviolent organizations from the Middle East and North Africa, strengthen ties and expand the of Non-Violence Network in Arab Countries.
This session is supported by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), the Town hall of Barcelona (International Cooperation, Solidarity and Peace) and MAEC (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain).
